Network Marketing – Short Course
My lawyer made me say it…
“Don’t copy any of mah schizz!”

And here we are…
Ready to delve into the world of marketing & selling stuff.
But this journey isn’t your run-of-the-mill adventure.
No sir…
It’s a special one because we’re about to dive deep into the often-debated realm of selling stuff via Network Marketing to discover if it’s the right path for you.
So, let’s not waste any time and start by asking ourselves why anyone would get involved with network marketing, when the vast majority:
Don’t make it past the first 3 months!
Won’t see a single cent of income!
Are pretty much destined to fail!
It doesn’t seem to make sense, does it?
Predictably, this is a hotly contested topic with strong and opposing viewpoints.
Now before I delve into this complex issue, can we agree that when it comes to personal opinions, there’s no shortage of them on this subject?
Confirmation bias often reigns supreme here, and many people are easily swayed and influenced, with the truth often hidden, exposed, or manipulated to feed existing biases.
Now to firstly address the elephant in the room…
No, I’m not involved in Network Marketing nor do I intend to be in the foreseeable future.
Have I been?
Yep!
Am I a fan of it?
Well, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me, but as time goes on I do tend to err on the side of ‘not really’, unless something is able to clearly exceed or at the very least meet my own set of pre-requisites.
Why is that exactly?
Because it comes with far too many grey areas and pitfalls as far as I’m concerned. In fact, some could and would happily argue the entire model as a whole is completely dead in the water and it’s hard to disagree with that for the reasons that are raised within this short course.
But I’ll let you make that decision after you see the eye-opening information that’s about to be revealed.
Obviously, it’s no secret this business concept has sparked endless debates over the years, with strong arguments on both sides and to be fair, I’ll acknowledge it can offer clever leverage and innovation making this model of conducting business a viable option for some.
However, on the flip side, there are many questionable practices that completely defy common sense from an ethical and practical standpoint when it comes to operating a small to medium-sized enterprise. This is where I’ll share some of my own insights and experiences about this contentious subject to help you make an intelligent and informed decision before heading down this road.
However, network marketing often polarizes people, leaving little room for balanced scrutiny and informed opinions. Negative experiences can lead to an overly critical view and others looking to embark on a journey within this space can quite easily succumb to hype.
Therefore it’s essential to get informed before you get opinionated.
The fact is, I don’t blindly follow others’ opinions; I’m naturally skeptical and prefer to investigate & try things out for myself. I like to be thorough and seek out intelligent information with proven results, based on real-world experience.
I’m after simplicity, practicality, and results… and unfortunately for many, being involved in a network marketing venture can make those 3 essential components a very challenging, if not virtually impossible task to achieve as the numbers clearly reflect.
It’s also important to understand that I hold nothing against those in the network marketing space; some are genuinely happy and successful… and that’s great!
However, I’ve also witnessed absurd practices born out of misplaced enthusiasm.
So, is this business model worth considering nowadays?
It depends. Like any business model, it has pros and cons and many factors to take into consideration.
At the end of the day… Intelligent, ethical, and professional operation is key.
With that said… the information contained within this website offers my own perspective, which may vary since there are different ways to implement the model.
I certainly don’t or won’t blindly or ignorantly dismiss a product or service simply because the business promoting it chooses to use a commission-based sales force. But I also can’t predict if a network marketing venture will change your life positively either. It varies from person to person. I can only offer my own insights to help you make an informed choice. We’re all different, and our opinions aren’t absolute. So instead of adopting a biased view, I aim to shed light on the pros and cons of it.
Please also keep in mind the content offered on this website is general, so feel free to take it with a grain of salt. Some information is timeless and been around for decades, a bit like myself, and sharing a few nuggets of wisdom might help someone else.
So let’s start the ball rolling by acknowledging that some avid fans do make reasonable arguments about its effectiveness or ineffectiveness, depending on which side of the fence you’re on. However, there’s also a few out there who offer really strange, twisted, and bizarre perspectives with very little understanding at all.
Some can be highly entertaining, while others… well…

But hey, that’s the world we live in, full of all sorts of unique individuals willing to share a mixed bag of opinions, no matter how informed, uninformed, or flat out peculiar they may be.
Some have unwavering loyalty and view it as one of the best business models in the world, while others… not so much. In any case, this popular yet controversial business model tends to inspire either passionate ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ sentiments with little room for anything in between, resulting in a lot of nonsense and flat out BS being thrown around from both sides of the fence.
Hence, the purpose of this website and its content is to discuss some of the issues and puzzles many encounter in this space, as well as the often-overlooked grey areas surrounding this topic. Because not everything is as black and white as many would like to believe.
So, let’s whip out the magnifying glass and take a closer look at why anyone would actually consider it in the first place…
